{Papa Dave}

A man full of STORIES & ADVENTURES
...
That will live on FOREVER!
Nine years of missing him
every.single.day!

David Eugene Lauer
HE LOVED THE LIFE HE LIVED!

He would write everyday..... in a journal.....just like me!
He wrote everything  down and some days it wasn't always a story, but simply what the weather had been like that day and how beautiful it was outside.
His passion for the outdoors was more than some could handle at times. He'd always say he was going out to "Red's Mountain" and he'd stay out there for days! He worried us a few times, but he always knew what he was doing, and would come home with a few dead snakes too!

While in his life he had many loves from the desert to arts & crafts to his one and only.....My Grandma.
He fell in love with her and I believe loved her until the day he passed.
Although there marriage ended not too many years after it began she was always the special one, even after a second chance at marriage with another woman or his
sweetheart "mamy."
When he loved...he loved with his WHOLE HEART!
There was never a question in your heart that he loved you...he'd never miss a chance to tell you
Like many he experienced some rough years, but I know he'd tell you he wouldn't change it for anything.

He was always involved in some kind of debauchery when he was young and definitely a hellion on wheels!

YES, FOLKS THAT IS A LION!!
He was crazy!

I remember he used to tell me I his favorite granddaughter....of course I was the only granddaughter and the only grandchild at the time, but he still made me feel special.
I can thank him for my creative artsy side and my passion for living a life of HAPPINESS!
When I think about him and I think about this blog...I know he would have loved it.
After all
...
 HAPPINESS IS SOMETHING WE {CREATE}
whether that be with words, crafts, love, etc
this is our life and it is meant to be lived.
&
That is what this blog is all about!

Here's to my Papa Dave who has become my inspiration to {create} a life full of happiness!

May your love always live on in our hearts.

We love you Papa Dave!

XOXO

Tara Ashley
